Message text written by "Randall Young" >Well, that should tell you right there, since the brakes remove kinetic energy at a fairly constant rate. < As long as the wheels don't lock up the tire contact to the pavement is static and if that is the limiting factor the static coefficient of friction is constant so the decelleration shoudl be the same from 60 to 50 as it is from 20 to 10. But the kinetic energy removed is not. Dave |
