Lou, I beg to differ on this point. My current stereo setup is nothing
fancy, just 8" full-range speakers mounted through the kick panels and an
MP3 player rated at 22 watts RMS each channel. The fiberglass blew out of
my stock exhaust system many years ago too, my car is plenty loud. And yet,
I can hear the music at speeds below about 70mph ... or at 90mph where the
wind mysteriously gets quiet again <g>
I do have wind wings, but I don't think they make much difference. Herman's
door-mounted wind wings certainly seem to, tho (when I've ridden in other's
cars, I don't have them).
I will admit, I'm looking for a bit more sound ... my plans are for a
sub-woofer for the space under the back seat and tweeters mounted under the
ends of the dash.
