I am leaving my '58 + ground. At this point I dont have a reason to
convert. Still have a generator, std. ignition, no radio etc.With the
exception of significant shrink tubing and lots of soldered (tinned)
ends, the electrical setup in this car is almost original. Since
original restoration in '80, there have been only two electral problems,
1: shorted out generator computator, and 2: that little wire in the
distributor that connects the points to the coil. I did have a problem
with the headlight switch but that turned out to be just a loose screw
so that doesn't count.
I dont have to worry about another person trying to jump or otherwise
mess with the electrics so the fact that this is a + ground car is of no
concern.
