Funny, people have been saying that for years, and I'm just not sure I
buy
into the logic. I understand the reasoning, inasmuch as very, very few
cars
bring at sale anything near the total amount spent to "restore" them.

As I am prone to saying: do people expect to get their money back out of
their set of clubs and greens fees? Heck no! IT'S A HOBBY! If you
enjoy
restoring cars, what difference does it make if it is profitable. Enjoy
yourself.

Dave

Dave,
I subscribe to that axiom. After spending over $16K on my Mk1 I doubt
anyone would offer me what I have into it. I could have bought a fully
restored one for much less. However, I wanted to do it myself. Is that
worth the extra money I spent? I don't know. But it is unlikely the
car will ever be worth what I have invested in it. But since I am not
intending to sell it, I guess I'll never know.

Joe
