My guess is that you water pump seal is beginning to leak.

The TR7's water pump mount vertically into the top of the block, under
the intake manifold. It's drive of of the jack shaft, which is in turn
driven off of the timing chain. There is a port cast into the block,
below the water pump. The port allows any coolant that leaks past the
water pump seal to escape without making its way into the sump.

If you look at the side of the block just below the water pump cover,
you should see the rectangular port. I would recommend checking it to
see of this is where the coolant is leaking from. When the seal on mine
failed, it went pretty fast. As I remember, it takes a slide hammer, and
removal of the intake manifold to change the water pump. Beware, I also
remember an issure regarding the number of vanes on the pump, and
possible cooling problems if you have the wrong one.
