Bearing in mind the numbers made of both cars, one can perhaps safely
assume the official view was broadly favourable? The unofficial view
promulgated by those who dealt with warranty, engineering problems and
product quality was considerably variable, consistently inconsistent
and frequently anything but supportive. In this respect, I'd guess it
wasn't a too different picture at other car companies. Seeing things
from the "inside out" rather than te "outside in" always provides a
degree of entertainment.
