Although it's good to pay attention to which direction is which, there is no way a hand drill will develop enough torque to harm the sprag clutch. After all, it has to handle full engine torque, multiplied by 2nd gear ratio (2.00). The hand drill's torque is far less, even after being multiplied by ~5.
