Jim,
Dont know if loctite will be as good as those flat tab washers. When I rebuilt
my
engine way back in 1980, I used the bend the tab washers. I just think of how
much
pressure is on those bolts when the engine is revving at 3500 - 4000 RPM and
wondered what would happen if the bolts came loose!!! Use the
bent-the-tab-against-the-bolt washers and have peace of mind. My engine is still
running strong 20 years later.
