Hello All,
Has anyone had any trouble with tire dealerships refusing to mount
tires on
stock TR6 rims? I just had a local dealer refuse because the rims lack a
safety ridge to keep the tires from pushing inward. They say that I must
use inner tubes to be correct (safe). I know that the BF Goodrich's that
were on the car previously did not have tubes in them, and I never had a
problem. Do I need to ask for inner tubes, or is this just something that
the big tire companies lawyers are making them do?
Also, I am planning on putting on 195/60/15's on. I know that to be as
close to the orig. overall tire diameter as possible I should use 195/65's,
but I am thinking that I will like the performance and looks of the 60's
better. Will there be a noticable difference in speedometer accuracy? Or
for that matter, am I just fooling myself on the difference in performance?
