And if you found that "showroom fresh" Triumph, what would you do with it?
(That is, after you sold your first born child to pay for it, of course.)
You could sell it, you could invite friends over to look at it, you could
sit in it and make "vroom vroom" noises, or you could put it in a closed
trailer and tow it to Triumph meets I suppose.
But the one thing you couldn't do is drive it . . . for it would soon lose
that "showroom fresh" feel and smell, you'd pick up some stone chips in the
paint, something would start squeeking, the tires would begin to show wear
and the first of many leaks would start covering the driveline and underside
with oil and then dirt. And, of course, the odometer would start rolling up
the miles.
Inside of a year you'd be right back where you started - looking for a brand
new car. Not, IMHO, worth the trouble or the cost. Nice fantasy though.
