Virgil, if you REALLY want showroom condition, there should be traces of
cosmoline around various edges of trim strips and lamps; little "spec"
stickers or traces of same on lamp lenses; tufts of polyethylene sticking
out from around the door panels where the protective covering wasn't
completely removed; trim rings and/or other bits still in boxes in the
trunk....
At least that is what I remember of "showroom" cars at my local dealers
back then!
Rest assured that most show judges do NOT deduct for either presence or
absence of any of the above features. ;-)
