This was a topic about a year ago. The consensus at that time was
divided between those that had no problem moving the TR6 tranny in
the reverse postion and those that had to "lift up on the lever". There
was no real solution. But if you look in Bentley's, you'll see that
there is a little "step" that the level must overcome in order to get
it into reverse. My opinion is that this is inherent in the design ensuring
that putting it into reverse is no mistake. Those who feel no resistance
have that step worn out. Those that have great difficulty are missing
that springed ball bearing at the end of the shift lever. Again, just
my opinion.
