Note that at TS26904 there was a modification to the springs to accommodate
for this imbalance. I am not sure if the driver's side was made stiffer or
the passenger side softer, but the net effect of either is the "level with
the road" concept. This might account for no spacer in some cars.

Yes there is supposed to be a spacer on the passenger side.
The purpose is
to lower the passenger side of the car, so when the car is
driven (raced)
with only driver on board the car and suspension is level
and has the
correct geometry.
