I have puschased sevreal of the Bell Stainless systems from TSSC.The
quality is superior, and the price did not seem that bad.
The full sports spitfire mk3 system in solid stainless, with beautiful
4-2-1 stainless header and dual mufflers with huge polished tips, cost
about $500 including shipping to Penna.
I also have a Semi sports system on my Sports 1200 (Herald) Saloon. This
cost about $250. ,and is also of unmatched quality!
The "Monza"exhaust and "Quick trip "type headers available in the USA
are complete junk compared to these Bell systems. They fit perfect and
the gleaming stainless is a sight to behold!
If you plan to keep your car,and want the best,I feel these systems are
a good value.

(no, I get no comission)

I feel I must comment on the above, no, not because I am a club officer for
the TSSC, but because I care about my fellow Triumph enthusiasts, that is why
I subscribe to this list.
Incidentally, I get no commission from TSSC for sales of anything that they
trade in.
Firstly Johnny is quite right about Triumph Tune mild steel exhausts.(the ones
that I have had from them were not only rubbish, but in my experience
dangerous, as the four-cylinder mild-steel tubular manifold that I bought from
them lasted precisely 53 weeks and fell apart, some 500 miles from home, and
the experience of breathing Carbon Monoxide was not one I care to repeat!!!
When I queried Mr.Hurrell about the quality, his response was "what do you
expect for the money?" and "if we make them better, then the cheapskate
customers we get, would not buy them!"
Those remarks, encouraged me not to shop at Triumph Tune/Moss Europe again.
To the Falcoln exhausts, I recall at the TSSC International show a couple of
years back, a Spitfire 1500 owner was unfortunate to have his original exhaust
system disintegrate at the show, he therefore purchased a Falcoln system from
one of the traders at the show, he bought this in prefeence to the TSSC system
based on price and on the assurance of the trader that it was a good fit. He
paid a club member who is a professional mechanic, at the show to fit it for
him at the show. Four hours later, it was more than obvious that it could not
be made to fit, it was then removed and returned to said trader for a full and
immediate refund.
The Spitfire owner then went to the TSSC stand and purchased a Bells system
which was fitted to his car in a little under one and a half hours.
To me that says a great deal.
Finally, I can tell you that the policy of TSSC Offers is to supply the best
quality items that are available for TSSC cars, not the cheapest, not the
second best, but the best. It simply is not worth alienating or otherwise
upsetting club members with inferior products.
Most of the time they get it right, sometimes there are problems, that is
life.
The two biggest problem items have always been exhaust systems and soft-tops.
These cars are not millimetre perfect, in fact come to think of it, they
aren't even inch perfect!!! But if they were all alike, then we wouldn't care
for them half so much!
nb.FWIW, I have TSSC/Bells systems on both my Vitesse and my GT6, and went to
extra trouble to have the tail pipes on both systems micropolished to show
standard.
I get no discount from TSSC BTW, and yes they were expensive.
But sometimes you have to take these things on the chin!
All depends on what you do with or intend to do with your car(s) doesn't it ?
Good Luck
and stay off the CO, it is NOT nice stuff!
