Good Evening Fellow Triumph Enthusiasts:

Have just aquired my first (71 Spit. FK10589L) and am still in honeymoon
phase. Two questions that I am hoping someone can help me with:

1) Speedo suddenly quit working - best I can figure is that about 3500 rpm
in fourth (car does not have OD) would equal 60 mph. Is this about right?

2) About every fourth or fifth time I attempt to start the car, I get a loud
click, and that's it. No go. I'll push it off and it will start fine and
run. Next fourth or fifth time, same dilemna. Does this sound like a bad
starter relay?

Also, should my baby ever need work beyond my limited skills, any
recommendations for Triumph mechanical work in the metro Atlanta (GA, USA)
area. Thanks and am hoping eventually I will get to see some of these
wonderful Triumphs I've been reading about on your messages.
