Since the TR-3 is so much narrower than the TR-4, the rack would have
to be shortened to work properly.  A friend here in VA has fitted a
bugeye Sprite rack to his TR-3A; that works quite well, although there
is still a lot of modification involved.  There was some discussion on
the list about a year ago or so about a company (maybe in Germany) who
were offering a rack and pinion conversion that is supposed to be a
bolt on swap for the TR-3.  If anyone is interested, I might be able
to find contact info in my list of saved files...
