The company that makes and supplies a steering rack conversion for
TR2/3/3A s in the UK
is PROTEK ENGINEERING in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. The cost of the
'bolt on conversion kit' is about 400 Pounds (not including our taxes)
which is around 670 dollars. I can give you their details if you would
like to talk to them..

At our club meeting yesterday, we had a discussion about switching a TR4
rack
and pinion steering unit to a TR3. There were mixed opinions about how
easy
this is to do. One guy said he had tried it using a kit from Bob Shaler
(?)
and it was not possible to make the swap. Others maintained it was
possible.
Anyone who's done it, or seen it done, have any comments or suggestions?
TIA. Cheers.
