Are you still running with the original mechanical fuel pump? If so, I
wonder if, over time, the benefits of pre-built-up oil pressure might be
negated (or worse) by the amount of unburnt fuel that would go into the
cylinders while you're building oil pressure. Seems to me that some of
that fuel at best might "flood" the engine and make it more difficult to
start. Worse yet, some of it could find its way past the rings and down
into the crankcase, diluting the oil. Neither sounds like an optimal
situation to me.

I can see some possible benefits of building up pressure before starting
the engine upon completion of an oil change. Beyond that, I think you'd be
better off with the spin-on oil filter adaptor setup (provided you get one
that doesn't cause the grief of fitting/leaking some on the list have
talked about recently).

My $.02 worth....
