The GT6 has a tall, narrow radiator because it has to fit
between the frame rails. The Spitfire radiator is wider and
can sit on top of the frame because the front of the engine is
further towards the rear of the car by 8-10". That is probably
the reason for this. You are correct in the assumption that
the GT6 cooling system is sorta marginal.
