Barry, Roger--

The block is as you describe, but the head is most likely from a 1600 cc
Vitesse six. There were so-called wide and narrow heads--the 1600 cc six
had roughly the same bolt pattern, but the passenger-side head studs
were much shorter, and the head was essentially stepped. The valve cover
only covers the driver's side studs and nuts, as usual, but looks as if
might cover both sides, because the passenger side studs and nuts are
not easily visible--they are _below_ the intake and exhaust manifold
flanges.

Cheers.
