In the early sixties, when a bunch of us wanted to impress our racing
friends (since the competitiveness of our LBCs was failing) we used
(burned) castrol not only for its excellent lubricating properties,
but specifically because it produced a distinct exhaust smell like
special fuel cars left behind...a not so faint, machismo aura,
of...well,... we thought, racing history and penache!
Surely the ladies of todays LBC owners, lovers, operators are not less
suseptible to the attraction of the handsome guy in his top down
machine with its distinctively sexy male aroma?????
Hell, we used to dribble the stuff around the front stoop, like buck
lure.....
Never worked for me, tho!

Hi,
I wonder if the fumes might be coming from a couple of sources:
1) old trans. tunnel or a new one with bad or non-existent seals
2) old or missing grommets in the firewall
3) leaky exhaust system
I hope that you aren't getting exposed to carbon monoxide too.
