wiring to the ignition circuit

Are the temp and fuel guages both 12V and ignition switched (they both
appear to be).  I plan to run a wire from the +ve on one of these for the
new radio that I am installing.  I reckon this should work fine, but
thought I had better check I haven't missed anything obvious.
