How and when did "subs" become part of the Spitfire logo discussion?
For a logo I like the car as the predominant feature but with a "ghosting"
of the Spitfire plane in the background.

I have seen enough spamming about this club and logo in the last week to
last me a year. First in my opinion I was not really aware of any links of
the Spitfire car to WWII plans or subs. To me it is simply not relevant.
The club and symbol are to bring us members, spitfire car owners together.
This is the purpose. Lets stick to it. It is not about preserving the
heritage of WWII planes or otherwise. Do these plane or WWII clubs use the
Spitfire car, I doubt it. Let's not confuse others. In all the car meets
many of which are British no conversations regarding planes or subs have
surfaced nor do expect them to. I would be puzzled if they did.
A logo that people and both inside and outside club can easily identify with
our cars is what we want and need. Anything else is confusing, and takes
away from our club spirit and purpose. I don't own a sub or plane. I have
owned about 15 Triumph Spitfires along with another 10 miscellaneous British
cars.
