Sounds like lack of fuel at 70 MPH which is near max throttle and max fuel
useage.  I would make sure the mixture is correct, It is possibly too lean.
Also make sure your carb can get enough fuel, check the fuel pressure and
flow coming from the fuel pump, or switch to an electric pump with a
pressure regulator.
