I have used a metal cutting blade in a reciprocating saw for that kind
of material.
Tape the lines you want to cut. The tape will make some of the potential
slop behave itself.
Put the masonite on a large stable surface, preferably with surfaces on
both sides of the cut.
Keep the reciprocating saw tight against the material to reduce
differential vibrations.
