Benn there done that . . . A really good thin-back scroll  blade in a
variable speed sabre saw does pretty well; practice the speed on scraps.
If that doesn't hack it, sandwich your "curvy" parts between two other
pieces of masonite, clamp tight and the middle one will turn out great.
