es on original one piece 6 blade fans which are special items for hotter cl=

rs ago installed BMW 5Series plastic fans. Some reconed cooler water temper=
atures. I am still happy with the original fan blades and when I can get on=
e of them I buy it and keep it. Its the same with original oil filter cases=
. I see no big improvement changing to cartridge ones. Or changing original=
generators for alternators. I think its for those who like to play with th=
eir cars. Often this causes more troubles than they had before.</span></p>

<div dir=3D"ltr">Correct me if I am wrong here, some owners removed the ori=
ginal metal fan blades because of the possibility of breakage, they then re=
placed it with a plastic "Texas Cooler" that also breaks because it was pos=
sibly made in China or by someone who was at some point the lowest bidder f=
or the job. I think one is better off to stay with the original ones, they =
are no worse, that's for sure. <br />In many cases the original was replace=
d in order to keep the car cooler in warm southern climates. <br />I don't =
live in very warm climate such as Texas or Arizona but it can get pretty ho=
t in summer, I installed a four core radiator, an original style sleeved th=
ermostat and put back the original blades after sanding them, checking for =
cracks and repainting them then check them every three years, been OK for t=
he last 24 years, I'll stick with that. <br /><br />Jean<br /><br />
