1997 12 Healeys left Chicago at the start of Rt 66 and went as far as Flagstaff AZ before heading north to get to PArk City UT for the International Meet there. Best parts of the road were in IL and MO. The further west one goes the less there is and more toowns have disappeared. 2002 another group drove Rt 50 to Lake Tahoe for Open Roads 2002. Some started in Ocean City MD and others joined along the way. At one point there were almost 30 cars driving the route in some semblence of order. RT 50 was the better drive, more of it still exists and of course there is the strecth across NV, "The Loneliest Route in America".
