One of my favorites is Pennsylvania 147 along the Susquehannah River north of
Harrisburg.  I take this route on the way to Watkins Glen each year for the
vintage car races, and it's wonderful.  Nice picnic spot at Millersburg by the
ferry, too.   On the way south from the races, I always seem to reach 147
about sundown, when the sound of the exhaust note starts to reach the peak of
"goodness".
