....And now for something completely different....

Thought I would try to start a thread that might get us off the "Value" issue
a bit. I was sitting here looking out the window at a foot and a half of snow,
and thinking about the first drive in the Healey I would like to take, this
spring.

Years ago, I traveled several times from Bangor ME down to a small coastal
town called Jonesport, near Machias (in Maine). The back road between the two
points was a freshly paved two-lane blacktop that wound around the hills and
hugged the contours of the numerous small lakes and ponds along the way. It
was called "Blacks Woods Road" and the challenging drive was at least an hour
of spirited driving, along switchbacks and s curves. This road was known by
those in the area as a favorite cruise, and I was wondering if anyone on the
list is familiar with it, and if it is still the same.

I also thought that while a lot of us are freezing our lug nuts off, it might
be enjoyable to hear about some of the best Healey day trip routes, good
places to stop along the way (food, sights), great destinations, as we prepare
for the spring thaw...

As an example, has anyone on the list ever taken their Healey to the top of Mt
Washington?
