Paul,
I'm curious to know how your brake pedal feels. At the same time
that I installed larger rotors, calipers, SS Teflon brake hoses, and
semi-metallic pads, I switched to Redline DOT 5 in both the brake and
clutch. It was fine at first, but over the years I've noticed the pedal
has become softer, and I definately noticed my clutch becoming notchy.
I'm considering replacing the fluid again with DOT 4, because I remember
the rock-hard, confident pedal I had before the conversion.
Incedently, I crewed on a Formula Atlantic team 2 seasons ago,
(west coast champion), and the owner's car used exclusively Redline 30 wt
synthetic eng and trans oil, but Girling DOT 4 brake and clutch fluid.
What is your experience with the synthetic brake fluid?
