If you have a broken clutch disk or a badly out-of-balance flywheel, it
will vibrate at appropriate or enough rpms, even when in neutral. You
said this happens when you accelerate. Did you mean *only* when you are
on the throttle, or is this an rpm phenomenon or a road-speed phenomenon?
If it is only when you accelerate, it must be an engine phenomenon, so
you should check the usual stuff to make sure the engine is running okay.
You may have a loose bolt (or two or three or four) on your driveshaft
or a halfshaft, or a bad u-joint at the front of the driveshaft, or
just a damaged or badly out-of-balance driveshaft. They often have a
little balancing plate welded on somewhere, and if yours came off, it
could make it out-of-balance. Or you may have a loose nut at the
front of the diff, which would result in an out-of-adjustment pre-load
on the ring and pinion in the diff as well as looseness in the rear
end of the driveshaft. Or a similar loose nut or bad bearing at the
tail of the gearbox. See if you can wobble the flange at either end of
the driveshaft with your hands. Check those flange bolts. Check the
free-play in the driveshaft u-joint. And do it soon! It could be
dangerous. :-{ Really.
