I have a problem with my Triumph Spitfire 1500, is there anyone
out there that knows whats going on?
As I accelerate in any gear I start to get excessive vibration
from the engine/gearbox/steering wheel. At about 3500 revs the
engine note becomes noticably harsher and the gearstick starts
vibrate, it feels like the car is going to shake its self to bits!
As I (try) to approach 4000 revs, I get a lot of harsh noise and
so much vibration from the engine/gearbox that I'm sure something
will suddenly break if I stay at that speed.
On previous bills for the car I noticed that there have been problems
with the flywheel, could it be that the flywheel is out of balance?
Any suggestions would be welcome as I have to travel everwhere at
        60 mph!
BTW, the gearbox is in need of reconditioning and the wheels are
slightly out of balance but I can't see that this produces so much
        vibration.
