Tony,
I'd suggest draining the engine oil and replacing it and the filter.
Pull the spark plugs, squart some oil in each of the cylinders, try to
turn the engine over by hand, using the bolt on vibration dampener on
the crank shaft to lub the cyl. You'll probably want to drop the gas
tank, and clean it, and blow out the fuel lines. The brakes should be
gone over, drain the fluid, check the rear drums and shoes, front pads.
There was a great article in the Jan. issue of The Brickline about storing
a car and taking it out of storage. If you aren't a member of the club,
I'd like to invite you to join. If you do, when you send your info
to George Malaska ask him to start your membership with the Jan. 98
issue. (If you need more info on joining email me privately.)

This is a common problem with Bricks. The window glass is glued to the
metal rail. There is a scissors mech with rollers that fit into this
rail. The glue breaks on this rail and the window will fall. You will
need to pull the interior door panels to get to the mechanism. The
window can be pulled out of the window hole and the rail also. Take
it to a local glass shop and they can glue it for you. Or you can
try to do it your self.
Hope this helps,
John
