Whatever we think may be immaterial. The SCCA probably knew this would upset
some apple-carts. 

The Area Directors certainly did. 

Insurers of motorsport sanctions all over the world are have harder times
buying re-insurance. Maybe logic be damned, this is driven by insurance and
thus those with Airbagged cars are just stuck with it? 

We can be as correct and indignant as we want but, it is pretty hard to have
a SoloII without insurance.

(And yes, like many of you I will now have to have different helmets for my
cars.)
