I hadn't done any 'rithmetic on this before. I just did for a 45'
slalom. Assuming both cars are the same width, the Elan saves just over
1/8" in maximum lateral displacement due to its shorter wheelbase. And
this small "advantage" diminishes for more open slaloms. I admit that
this is a very small effect - much smaller than I had originally
thought. Clearly, the car's width is much more relevant for autox.
