During a drag race, when you shift GSX from 2nd to 3rd, it happens around
50 - 60 mph. Than you start puling in the 3rd gear for most part of the
track (valid for the stock GSX and probably a lot of other cars). I thought
that was what we where talking about here.
The thing for GSX is that if you keep it in 3rd gear for more that 70 mph
you will run out of boost (it goes down from 14 psi to somewhere around 8
psi) and there will be nothing to move you up there any more (even though
red line will appear somewhere around 100 mph). So, if the owner of that
car did not shift to 4th around 70 mph, he/she could be slower than some of
those cars mentioned before.
