I really appreciate your wanting to answer my question, but being
"quite certain" and believing doesn't really mean much. This is how
myths get started and sometimes it seems people would rather
believe what they believe than facts. I just prefer facts. No flame
or anything meant against you or anyone else who feels this way,
but this does not answer my question. :(

I'm sure the M3 has a great ABS, but this doesn't mean it's rear
wheels are independently operated. Does it say it in the owner's
manual, shop manual, marketing brochure, etc. or anywhere?
