Oh, you wanted me to cite my references!

Well, the BMW owners' manuals don't get into detail on anything.
The BMW shop manuals are not available to normal humans, so unless
you have access to a BMW certified mechanic -- but then, you wouldn't
have asked here.

I have never seen marketing brochures for the ASC+T with any detail.

The BMW web site does (did?) have an article on ASC+T that did discuss
the addition of the independent ABS capability in the rear. That was
some time ago and they've overhauled their site since then.

There was also an article that detailed ASC+T in BMW Magazine. Sorry,
I don't keep track of my citations.

These probably don't count, but here's some "articles" on ASC+T on the
Web:

http://home.earthlink.net/~rponiarski/asct.htm
http://users.cybercity.dk/~bbo2530/abs.html

If you want a better answer, you could ask one of the BMW lists.
Lots of experts out there; but, they may not be able to cite
references either. OTOH some of them are more reliable than BMW
docs anyway.
