Ron--On my '72 TR6, the gap between the distributor pedestal and the block should be taken up by a gasket whose thickness is determined to set the necessary float between the drive dog helical gear and the cam. I don't have the endfloat spec on the top of my head though, but it's in Bentley. Rick O. |
