I agree with you 100%..my PERSONAL view is that I would NEVER add the 5
speed to the car. It goes against every reason that I had in purchasing the
car in the first place. From a value standpoint I just don't know if I need
it or not. I have a tranny problem and will have to deal with it sooner than
later so I'm just trying to figure out if it's worthwhile to just add the
o/d at the same time. What amazes me is how many people tell you how tough
it is to find an o/d unit but I have had at least 5 offered to me since the
first time I asked the "o/d question" a week ago (now for all I know they
are all in horrible condition but that's another story)!

According to NADA, the 2 options that increase the value of the car
are
o/d and a hardtop. Everything else is for your personal satisfaction only;
you will
not get anything back when you sell the car.

cause problems due to the fact that they leak like mad. Is this your
experience? He is telling me that I should do the Celica 5 speed conversion
