        Folks:

        I realize I am a bit late chiming in here, but bear with me...

        One other thought about an o/d vs a 5 speed conversion. The o/d
conversion is
'free'. That is, if you add an o/d, you add $1,000 to the value of your car.
Dunno
if a 5 speed conversion adds any value to the car or not (?).
        According to NADA, the 2 options that increase the value of the car
are
o/d and a hardtop. Everything else is for your personal satisfaction only;
you will
not get anything back when you sell the car.

        Ciao,

        Vance

My tech is telling me that getting a "J" or an "A" type o/d unit is going to
cause problems due to the fact that they leak like mad. Is this your
experience? He is telling me that I should do the Celica 5 speed conversion
instead if I really feel the need to drop the RPM's...thoughts?
