Another improvement is to simply replace the lamps.  Over time, the
tungsten from the filament evaporates and plates-out on the inside of the
lamp glass.  This plate-out reduces light transmission.  Anyone tried the
halogen replacements offered by LBCCo?  I'm concerned they could be too
hot.

 I had the same problem and it turned out to be the dash light rheostat
> was  dimming the lights even when turned to "bright".  I jumped the
