He was referring to the metal piece under the crankshaft at the rear 
bearing cap.
If you loosen those 3 bolts, make absolute sure top edge is perfectly 
flush with the engine block.
This is the rear main leak area, well one of them anyway.
If it is not flat with he block, it will leak.
It is semi adjustable with the 3 bolts and just when you know it's 
perfectly flat and tighten the bolts, it moves.
