I think Jim means RTV instead of RPV. As to the cork, it is not really a seal. Simply a gasket. Match them up as closely as possible to the pan gasket and RPV the whole thing on reassembly. The "eyebrow" should match the rear main bearing cap tightly or, as Frank said, you will have leaks. Cheers!!! Jim |
