I have de-seamed a couple Bugeyes so far. Both front and back.
My Sprite which you can see here.

And my daughter's Bugeye, both the bonnet and rear. You might be able to
see it in a picture on my photo site

Hers is the red bugeye
I ground off the raised seams, spot weld it every 2 inches and go back
and weld in between the welds so it is welded every inch.
I fill in the gap with lead but bondo will work, I just didn't want any
water creeping in the seam so I opted for lead.
Since my daughters car was made form 2 bugeye rear tubs welded together,
I sort of had to de-seam it and the bonnet was pretty bad so now it
matches the rear tub.
On my car, the Speedwell nose never had seams so last year I got rid of
the rear seams not the back matches the front.
If I had a nice original car, I would not de seam it.
But I do like the look personally.
