I have found that a good socket set is indispensible. The first thing I did
when I got my project was go to Sam's and buy a nice socket set of GM Mr.
Goodwrench for about $70. They are not Snap-on's but then I am not a
pro--and they are not el cheapos in construction either. Point is, you need
a really good and dependable set of tools--not necessarily THE BEST, but
better than the unplated "300 pieces for $29.95" specials.
And as soon as you can afford it, an adequate air compressor with tools is a
great addition. I use mine for many tough jobs.
