I would suspect the hoses too, especially since I recently experienced this
collapsed hose problem myself. Since you say you replaced the rubber hoses
it seems unlikely if you are getting fluid out of the bleeders. Sounds to
me like fluid is not returning the the master. Perhaps your caliper pistons
are not returning. Did you replace rear wheel cyinders too? When I rebuilt
the brakes on the '61, the brakes tended to stay "on" intitially but
developed a normal operation after a couple days. I think it took a little
while for the seals to move freely.
