Hi Charles,
I agree that years ago I had received the same welcome, but not lately. Twenty
years ago when I first had my Sprite, my first car, I was a little ignored. But
that was years ago. Presently, I have met a great bunch of Healey owners. Both
big and small Healers owners. They have always treated Puddles as one of their
own. I think it is just human nature to show a little preference for one type
of car. After all they put as much effort in their car as I.
How ever, I did see some resentment from some Tr**ph owner's club in Monterey
meet. Maybe it was because I was in a MGB, their arch rival. I actually like
TR's, in fact I've owned a couple great ones. But I did notice the same thing
then, the Spits and TR7's were always put in the back. I drove a GT6, by the
way, great car I'm just a little too tall for it. It was scary fast though.
I just ignore the ones who don't appreciate all cars as they aren't worth the
energy or time to concern me. Most groups are just people, some good some bad.
Cheers
Rick
