Hey Tom! Congratulations on the start! That gets you on first base.
Hmmm--lots of us could use that "Dummies" book.
Could be the line is leaking somewhere and sucking air in. I have always
suspected the red plastic line for being a culprit--personally I am going to
replace my entire line with a solid 1/4" brake line--wouilda done it by now
but havent had the right bubble flare tool in hand. I already have the line,
the cutter, and the tubing bender. Maybe someone on the list has a handy
dandy way of checking a line for leaks.
Gas? I always use the highest octane available. The car just seems to run
better with richer gasoline. Betcha you get all sorts of opinions on this
one, but as we of the old days used to say,"Filler up with Ethyl!". Always
hoped Ethyl would come running out and hop in the front seat, but noooooo. .
. . (Technically, for you youngsters, Ethyl was what the highest test
gasoline was called back in the old days) ;^)
